Prof. Nathan Oyori Ogechi, PhD, is a Professor of African Linguistics and the Vice Chancellor of Kisii University. A DAAD Scholar and internationally recognized expert in contact linguistics and linguistic human rights, he has over 25 years of academic leadership experience, including as Deputy Vice Chancellor at Moi University.

Professor Nathan Oyori Ogechi is a distinguished scholar, seasoned university administrator, and a leading authority in the field of African linguistics. Before his appointment at Kisii University, Prof. Ogechi had a distinguished and long-standing career at Moi University, where he served in progressively senior capacities. He worked as a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, and Full Professor in the Department of Kiswahili and other African Languages.
